5 Truths Everyone Tends To Forget Too Easily ( Which Everyone Should Remember)

1. Life is short and the odds aren’t always good.

Our mortality is something we have a lot of difficulty thinking about. No matter how confident the most devout theologian may be, we don’t know what happens when we’re gone. What we can say for sure is that after we die, our footprint shall no longer bless this planet. It’s unlikely that we get another shot at life. Some believe in reincarnation, but there’s little evidence to support it. The lesson here? Live your life fully every day, and remember: one day, you’re not going to have it anymore.

2. Failure often comes before success.

Hey, not every time, but often. If you’re afraid of failure, you’ll never experience true success in life. Refer back to #1. This is the only shot at life you’re likely to have, so go big. Don’t fear failure. Learn from it and do better.

3. Forgiveness can come apology-free.

You don’t have to wait around for an apology to come from someone who has thoroughly wronged you. You can forgive them without the apology. If anything, your forgiveness will compel them to truly feel sorry and express that sorrow to you.

4. Some people just aren’t a good match for you.

Romantically and platonically, some people just aren’t going to be a good match for you. I’ve heard it said that you can’t break up with your friends, but you can cut ties with anyone. You have the right to do so if they’re not a good addition to your life.

5. Everything is subject to change.

Truly, at any moment, everything can change. Everything can be turned upside down. Sometimes there’s nothing you can do to prepare for it. So just be prepared for the reality that things may not be like they are today tomorrow.
